haha. World cup fever is over. OVER I tell you.
And because I didn't chased the WHOLE of the world cup. I decided that I should AT LEAST catch the finals. And it proved to be interesting. The match was France against Italy.
I was suppose to be rooting for Italy. But I kind of rooted for France as well, due to their nice uniforms. lol. A pity when I woke up it was already 1 - 1. I didn't even see who put the ball in.
But I was impressed with the captain of France, Zidane? Is it? lol. I didn't quite remember his name. But I have to say he played very well. Excellent in fact.
He made a nice header that was suppose to go in, a pity the goalkeeper from Italy saved it. See? I don't even know which group I am rooting for.
But the captain was given a RED card. Can you believe it, on the last match, he got a RED card. I didn't see what happened at first until they replay it up close.
He was actually talking to this guy behind him then he turn around and used his head to hit the guys' chest. At first the referee didn't see it, but after that he was given the red card. I couldn't believe it, he was such a good player, being banned from the last few minutes of the game was definitely crucial.
And Italy won, YAY!! :) Afterall I had a private bet with nigel. Not really that I came out with the bet. Nigel said that France would win or else he would come for curia meeting without his shirt on. (HAHA. As if anyone wants to see you without your shirt on.) But me and my sister kind of privately talked it out that he would most likely not come. lol.
But to tell the truth, France played very well. If I give it upon performance they would get like 8 over 10.
But Italy's performance wasn't too good, they were afraid to push the ball down to the attacking side. France had control of the ball most of the time.
So I was thinking that maybe France could win. Until the captain got red card of course.
Italy won by penalty shot 5-3. They put in all five goals. Which was good. The last scorer had the most stress, as the ball would decide the winner. But when he scored the last one, I totally JUMPED up for joy. Like literally. Actually I screamed a little, but no one heard me.. :)
lol. The excitement of world cup.
